A high roller in poker is a player who regularly bets large amounts of money in cash poker games or participates in high-stakes poker tournaments.

High rollers, especially those on the upper end of the scale, can often enjoy many different comps, ranging from free transfers to the casino, free accommodation, and other amenities.

High Roller Poker Example:

Players who play live cash games of $10/$20 and up can be considered high rollers. Tournaments with buy-ins of over $25,000 are typically called high-roller tournaments.
