Position in poker indicates the location in which a player is seated at the poker table. Poker positions can be divided into early, middle, and late positions. The exact number of seats will vary depending on the format you’re playing.

Position Poker Example:

If you’re playing at a standard 9-handed poker table, the positions will be the Small Blind, Big Blind, Under the Gun, Under the Gun +1, Middle Position, Lojack, Hijack, Cut Off, and the Button.
