From technical and mathematical strategy guides to books on poker psychology, players have a lot of quality content at their disposal nowadays. Best of all, you can access most of the information for free. This means that anyone can start learning from scratch, and you don’t need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on various books and poker courses.

Add to this the boom in Poker AI bots and tools, players of today are much better equipped with learning resources than those before them. This large-scale availability of top-tier content has led to a significant minimization of the skill gap between players. The weaker players of today are discernibly more skilled than their counterparts were a decade ago.

The Games Are Generally More Quiet

During the poker boom of the early 2000s, we could witness some insanely entertaining players who made every poker hand fun with their chatting and trash talk. Nowadays, there aren’t as many outlandish and polarizing personalities as there were ten or twenty years ago.
