Following on the success of its recently concluded High Stakes Cash Game World Championship, CoinPoker is at it again, with a similar competition geared toward a much larger number of players.
Running June 1 – 28, the Mid-Stakes Cash Game World Championship will replicate the excitement of the original competition, but it will be much more accessible.
This one will take place on specifically designated NL500 6-max tables on CoinPoker, which means that a lot of mid-stakes grinders will have an opportunity to get involved. With special prizes and online poker glory up for grabs, we are in for a few weeks of non-stop cash game action.

The Mid-Stakes Cash Game World Championship will be taking place on specially designated NL500 6-max tables. While playing at these tables, you’ll be paying no rake whatsoever, which is a pretty good deal on its own.
Of course, there are certain rules that players have to observe. Everyone has to sit in with at least 100 big blinds, and auto-rebuys are mandatory once your stack falls below that threshold. This ensures there will be no short-stacking.
To add some more flavor to the competition, CoinPoker will mix things up. While all games are played in a six-handed format, there will be slight differences from one week to the next, namely:
- Week 1 (June 1 – 7) – No antes
- Week 2 (June 8 – 14) – Antes (0.1666 BB)
- Week 3 (June 15 – 21) – No antes
- Week 4 (June 22 – 28) – Antes (0.1666 BB)

Big Prizes & Weekly VIP Games
If you participated in or at least followed the previous championship, you won’t be surprised by the range of prizes and special perks up for grabs this time around.
Every week, five players will win $1,000 worth of credits toward the weekly VIP game. This is an exclusive, invite-only, 7-handed game that takes place every Sunday. Five of the seven seats will be filled by players who qualify based on the following criteria:
- Most hands played
- Highest VPIP (required minimum of 2,000 poker hands)
- Biggest loser
- Sickest hand (voted by fans on the official Discord channel)
- Most money under EV
As mentioned, these five players will get a seat and $1,000 credits to use in the game. The remaining two seats are filled by VIP players who get an exclusive invitation from the operator.
Of course, there is also the overall leaderboard that will run across all four weeks, where the winner will receive a Rolex watch worth $15,000. The remaining top four finishers will share in on a $10,000 prize pool.
