Weekends are always exciting for online tournament players, but the upcoming one is especially so as the KO Games series enters its final stretch.
The fun tournament series hosted by 888poker comprised a colorful MTT schedule focused on different types of knockout events, including the hugely popular mystery bounty format.
KO Games is now down to the final few events, with Saturday and Sunday offering several big money tournaments and final few opportunities to get your seat for Day 2 of the $300k GTD Main Event.
Action-Filled Weekend Ahead
There is $200,000 in guarantees on offer over the weekend for those who join the action for the final weekend of the KO Games series at 888poker.
On Saturday, October 26, the action will start with an event that all fans of the great game of PLO will appreciate. The $11 PLO Mystery Bounty has a guarantee of just $2,000, but it’s likely to attract enough entries to exceed its original promise.
The other two KO Games events for the first day of the weekend are PKO 6-Max tournaments, featuring buy-ins of $55 and $109. Between them, these two tournaments offer $27,000 in guarantees and represent perfect picks for players who love action and enjoy playing a lot of hands.
The short-handed format, combined with progressive knockouts, will result in an active tournament where not many players will be sitting around waiting for premiums to get involved.
Sunday, October 27, will see three major tournaments. Things will kick off with Event #24 – a $16.50 Mystery Bounty Mini tournament offering at least $20,000 in prizes. Affordable buy-in and generous guarantee should result in a big field and plenty of action.
Starting just an hour later is $55 Mystery Bounty event. Although the buy-in is higher, it is justified by twice the guaranteed amount, as players in this one will compete for a prize pool of at least $40,000.
Crowning the Sunday action will be The $109 PKO Rumble, featuring a big guarantee of $100,000. Featuring a stack of 250 big blinds to start, 12-minute levels, and unlimited rebuys, this event should offer a lot of play and plenty of opportunities, especially for players with bigger bankrolls.
Of course, there are also many tournaments over the weekend that aren’t “named” events but offer a lot of value and something to keep you busy, especially if you’re used to having more than a couple of tables open.
Final Opportunities for Main Events
The 888poker KO Games series features two Main Events, and both of them will see Day 2 action kick off on Monday, October 28. This means that the upcoming weekend represents the last chance saloon for those who are yet to secure their seats in final stages of these competitions.
The $215 Mystery Bounty Main Event has a big guarantee of $300,000, but the Mini Main Event, which has a buy-in of just $25, also comes with a promise of $100,000. So, there is every reason to get involved and try for a deep tournament run.

There are several Day 1s scheduled for both events over the weekend. However, if buying in directly is too rich for your bankroll, you’ll also find many satellites on the docket, especially for the $215 Main Event.
You can try and lock up your Day 1 seat for as little as $2.20, but there are also more expensive satellites ($21, $33), where your odds of winning a ticket are much bigger.
Monday and Tuesday will see the conclusion of the Main Event and the last couple of KO Games events play out, but if you’re looking for action, Saturday and Sunday at 888poker need to be on your radar. Dust off your grinding gear, get in the mix, and go after some juicy bounties!
