Everyone’s favorite micro-stakes online tournament series is back for the summer! PokerStars announced that the latest edition of its popular MicroMillions will be kicking off on Sunday, July 7, and continue for two straight weeks, until July 21, 2024.

We already know what to expect from MicroMillions, as PokerStars will bring out small buy-ins, big guarantees, and plenty of action every single day over the course of the series.

In addition to cash prizes, all MicroMillions winners will receive a special virtual badge that they can proudly display at the tables, letting the world know about their tournament skills.

Small Buy-ins & Big Guarantees

Like every year, the 2024 MicroMillions will feature a host of very affordable tournaments, with buy-ins starting as low as $1.10. On the other end of the spectrum, the biggest asking price in the entire series is $55 for the High Roller event.

However, PokerStars has never been afraid to attach big guarantees to its small buy-in events, and this approach has worked for them almost every single time as players showed up in big numbers.

The overall guarantee for the 2024 MicroMillions series is $4,000,000, spread across 208 events. With most events costing up to $11 to enter, it is clear that players can look forward to some really impressive returns.

Although No Limit Texas Hold’em will be the dominant variation, the schedule features a nice mix of other game types as well. There is Pot Limit Omaha, No Limit Omaha 8, 5-Card PLO, 2-7 Triple Draw, 2-7 Single Draw, and more.

In terms of tournament types, MicroMillions offers something for every taste. You’ll find plenty of deep stack and turbo events, PKOs, Mystery Bounties, etc. Whatever format fits your particular skillset the best, this series has plenty to offer.

This year’s series is putting a particular emphasis on Mystery Bounties as the latest addition to the PokerStars MTT selection. There will be one MB event on the schedule for every single day of the series.

$750,000 Guaranteed in Two Tournaments

Of the total $4M guaranteed for the series, $750,000 will go towards two tournaments. The first one is the 2024 MicroMillions Main Event, and the second one is the earlier-mentioned High Roller.

Many players will not be surprised to hear that the buy-in for the Main Event is $22, as this has become a tradition. The guarantee for the tournament taking place at the very end of the series, on Sunday, July 21, is $500,000, and it will be played in the PKO format.

The $55 High Roller will offer at least $250,000 in prize money. Unlike most high roller events, though, this one is accessible to a majority of online poker players out there. The tournament also takes place on the last day of MicroMillions.

There are three more tournaments on the schedule with $100,000 guarantees and two of them are taking place this Sunday to get the series off the ground:

  • Sunday, July 7 – MicroMillions #10 – $11 Sunday Special
  • Sunday, July 7 – MicroMillions #12 – $22 High Roller
  • Sunday, July 14 * MicroMillions #107 – $22 High Roller

Other than these, the 2024 schedule features a great number of big five-figure guarantees, ranging from $10k to $80k.

It’s Time to Get on the Grind

When it comes to value for money, there is no other series for low-stakes players that can be compared to MicroMillions. Even with a bankroll of just a couple of hundred, you can play quite a few tournaments and have a shot at nice prizes.

Additionally, PokerStars will be running satellites and various feeder tournaments for bigger buy-in events like high rollers and the Main Event throughout the series, giving everyone a shot to qualify and fight for the big bucks.

Once again, the action gets underway this Sunday, July 7, and there are two big events on the docket right off the bat, so don’t miss out!
