A rag is a low-value card. If you have hole cards that are rags, you will most often find them problematic to play and should generally fold them immediately.
Rag Poker Example:
A hand like 8c3s or 7d2h is made from rags, as these are some of the worst pre-flop cards you can start with and don’t have much potential to improve.
