PokerNews Online Championship

Back in March, 888poker partnered with PokerNews to launch the first-ever PokerNews Online Championship, and the festival’s success prompted the operator to bring it back just months later.

This November, the PokerNews Online Championship will run on the international 888poker platform and bring dozens of exciting events with buyins starting from just $5.50 and going all the way up to $525.

With a million dollars in guaranteed prize pools, the Championship will be a massive festival, while the Mystery Bounty Main Event will feature an incredible $300,000 prize pool, perfect for all the players dreaming of a big tournament payday.

Join 888poker now to take part in the second edition of the PokerNews Online Championship, or keep on reading to find out more about the festival and everything you have to look forward to.

Ten Days of Hectic Poker Action

The PokerNews Online Championship starts on November 17 and runs until November 26, with several events on the schedule each and every day.

As usual, 888poker will be offering a variety of game formats across different buyin levels, allowing players with all bankroll sizes to experience the thrill of the festival.

The tournaments on the lower end of the buyin spectrum will feature entry fees as low as $5.50, $8.50, and $16.50, while several high roller events with buyins of $320 and $525 satisfy the cravings of players with deeper pockets.

While classic No Limit Hold’em events with re-entries will be available, the majority of tournaments will feature some type of a knockout structure.

Among these, progressive knockout and mystery bounty events will take a special place, as these tournament formats have become incredibly popular with the players in recent years.

Pot limit Omaha lovers will get their chance as well, with several PLO events scattered throughout the festival for good measure, ensuring the fans of four-card poker aren’t left out.

Here is a quick look at some of the highlight events of the PokerNews Online Championship:

Championship Events Underway

The PokerNews Championship schedule is loaded with exciting events, but none as much as the two Main Events, both of which will play out on November 25.

However, Day 1 flights for both the $25 Mini Event and the $215 Main Event are already running at 888poker, and will be available every day until November 25.

This means you will get plenty of opportunities to bag a stack for Day 2 action and come back to play with a big stack when mystery bounties kick in and the fun part of the event starts.

Both events will pay out substantial prize pools compared to their buyins, with the $300,000 prize pool for the Main Event being the biggest one of the festival.

On top of the valuable prizes for all final table finishers, both events will also give out some hefty mystery bounties, as the novel tournament format offers to make the Main Event action that much more interesting.

Make sure to join the various Main Event flights in the days leading up to November 25 to play for your spot in the final day, or play the exciting qualifier tournaments to try and win your way in the Main Event for just a fraction of the buyin.

Live Coverage and Giveaways

Organized in cooperation between 888poker and PokerNews, the PokerNews Championship will be heavily covered by the ambassadors and friends of both brands.

888poker is known as one of the most prolific brands in poker in terms of content creation, with the likes of Vivian Saliba, Ian Simpson, Lucia Navarro, Nick Eastwood, Aaron Barone, Alexandre Mantovani, and other 888poker ambassadors all expected to show up and play the events and cover them via their various social media channels.

Throughout the festival, you can expect plenty of live streams, live updates on social media networks, and unique content posted on 888poker’s YouTube, Twitch, and X channels.

With all the streams and content, 888poker will also be giving away plenty of seats into the key PokerNews Championship tournaments, with each ambassador having something to give back to the fans.

From the side of PokerNews, Lukas “RobinPoker” Robinson will be live streaming the events via his popular Twitch channel, and there should be quite a bit of extra value involved for all the viewers.

Finally, the final table of the PokerNews Championship Main Event will be live streamed in full on the 888pokreTV, which means you will get to sweat the biggest moments of the Championship in real time with cards-up and all the action shown.
