PokerStars US Announces Dates for the 2024 SCOOP

PokerStars US has revealed the dates and basic details for the 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), giving all fans of tournament poker something to look forward to.

The 2024 US SCOOP will take place from April 5 – 22, and it will feature $5,250,000 in combined prizes. Full schedules are still to be released, but the series will likely be similar to the 2023 version, so there should be over 250 events in total.

As we wait for PokerStars US to reveal more information about the upcoming series, we’re bringing you all the details we have about the 2024 US SCOOP so far.

$3,000,000 Guaranteed in MI / NJ

PokerStars players in Michigan and New Jersey will get to play for a total of $3,000,000 in guaranteed prizes. This is the same amount that we saw in the 2023 SCOOP, which is another reason we don’t expect any significant changes to the series schedule.

The Main Event features a $300 buy-in and comes with a solid guarantee of $300,000. It will take place over two days at the very end of the 2024 US SCOOP, on April 21 and 22.

Tournaments will be distributed in three buy-in orbits, as always, with most events featuring low, medium, and high versions. This ensures that all players can join the action and enjoy one of the biggest online tournament series in the US.

$2,250,000 up for Grabs in PA

Players in Pennsylvania will compete for at least $2,250,000 in prizes, which represents a slight bump compared to last year’s series.

The Main Event takes place on April 21 – 22, and the guarantee is set at $225,000. The buy-in for the Main Event will be $300.

The PA SCOOP 2024 series will also feature three orbits, but other than that and the ME details, we have no additional information about the schedule at this time. We expect PokerStars US will be announcing this info in the next few days, though.

Qualify for the 2024 US SCOOP

While the full tournament schedule is still under development, players in PA, MI, and NJ can already start winning their US SCOOP tickets via the Path to SCOOP promo.

This is a three-step path that starts with $0.25 Spin & Go tournaments. These tournaments award Step 2 tickets, but there is also a small chance of winning a $100 SCOOP ticket in them.

Step 2 sit and goes feature a buy-in of just $0.75. These are single-table events where the winner advances to the final step qualifier.

This final step is a $10 MTT, awarding $100 SCOOP tickets. These tickets can be used to enter any 2024 SCOOP events of the corresponding buy-in, but they can’t be exchanged for money.

In addition to these, PokerStars US will also be running special $3 Spin & Go tournaments with the jackpot prize on offer being the $300 Main Event ticket. These aren’t available in the clients just yet, but will likely appear in the next day or two.

There will likely be more satellites available once the full 2024 US SCOOP schedule is revealed and when the series gets underway, but if you want to start your preparations early on, these are the currently available options.
