2024 wcoop boot camp kicks off

Today marks the start of the 2024 WCOOP Boot Camp, an online poker festival leading up to the PokerStars iconic World Championship of Online Poker.

Lasting August 4 – 19, the WCOOP Boot Camp brings over $10,000,000 in guaranteed prizes and events to fit every bankroll, divided into two buy-in groups: low and high.

There are a total of 160 tournaments on the schedule, with event buy-ins starting as low as $1.10 and going up to $1,050 and satellites for bigger tournaments kicking in at just $0.50.

This is the perfect way to get in the right mood and frame of mind for the biggest online poker series of the year and build up your bankroll at the same time.

Big Action on the Opening Day

It’s become somewhat of a tradition for online festivals to kick off with some big events, and the 2024 WCOOP Boot Camp sticks to that tradition.

Today, Sunday, August 4, brings a nice selection of tournaments with generous guarantees, highlighted by the special edition of the $109 KO Sunday Million.

Coming in at the $55 buy-in is Event #03, a Progressive KO Mini Bounty Builder HR, featuring a generous promise of a quarter of a million!

For high rollers out there, Event #5, the $5,200 Titans event comes with a guarantee of $200,000, alongside the $1,050 Sunday High Roller (Event #4), promising at least $125,000 in prizes.

In addition to these few select events, there are a total of 16 WCOOP Boot Camp tournaments taking place today (eight from each orbit), including the $11 and $109 Boot Camp Opener events, featuring guarantees of $40k and $75k, respectively.

100 Passes & Tickets up for Grabs in Leaderboard Prizes

On top of the more than $10,000,000 in guarantees that will be claimed by players over the course of the series, there is also the 2024 WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard, awarding 100 PokerStars Passes and Sunday Million tickets to the top performers.

Players will earn leaderboard points based on their results in Boot Camp events with buy-ins of up to $530, and the top 100 performs will claim the following prizes:

  • 1st to 6th – $10,300 WCOOP Gold Pass
  • 7th – 20th – $2,500 WCOOP Silver Pass
  • 21st – 100th – $109 Sunday Million Ticket

These leaderboard prizes provide additional reasons to get involved and grind hard during the series, and with two buy-in orbits, all players have a fair shot at finishing in one of the top 100 positions.

Free Training Available

PokerStars has partnered up with BBZ Poker to offer some free poker training over the first week of the Boot Camp (August 3 – 9), giving you a chance to pick up some quality poker knowledge along the way.

There are daily live streams featuring the likes of Alex “Pwndidi” Theologis, Mason “pyefacepoker” Pye, and Andy “bowieeffect” Wilson.

Streams are arranged in a way where they focus on the next day’s action, so if there is a big KO tournament coming up, the training stream will be about knockout tournaments.

Join the Action & Get on the Grind

The 2024 WCOOP Boot Camp action is already underway, with the first few tournaments in the late registration period at the time of writing this article – but there is plenty more to come!

Whether you plan on playing in the WCOOP or are just eager for some online tournament action, the Boot Camp is one series that you don’t want to miss out on!

Offering $10,000,000+ in prizes, action for all bankrolls, and a rich leaderboard to keep you motivated and going, it is hard to find a reason not to join the action. The sooner you start, the more chance you will have to claim your share of that juicy prize pool.
