All poker players know that gut-wrenching feeling when they turn over a super-strong hand at a showdown, fully expecting to scoop the pot, only to be shown an even stronger combo to snag defeat from the jaws of victory.
This may not happen too often, but those times that it does tend to stick with you for a while. So, CoinPoker decided to turn things around with its Bad Beat Jackpot, turning those unpleasant situations into ones you’ll be thrilled about.
So far this year, the operator has paid well over $300,000 in jackpots, and that number will continue to rise. Bad beats and coolers happen in poker, as that’s the nature of the beast, but with a jackpot involved, they’ll make you smile instead of throwing your mouse against the wall.

CoinPoker Bad Beat Jackpot Rules
The Bad Beat Jackpot promo is active across all No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha cash tables on CoinPoker. There are just a few conditions that need to be met for a hand to qualify for the jackpot:
- The losing hand must be at least Aces Full of King (for Hold’em), straight flush (for PLO), and straight flush 3-7 for PLO5
- The minimum of three players must be dealt into the hand
- There must be a showdown
- Players must use both of their hole cards to create the winning and the losing hand
- Only the first run qualifies for the Bad Beat Jackpot (in pots where players decide to run it more times)
While all ring games across all stakes participate in the promo, the total amount you stand to win from the jackpot pool varies depending on the blinds. The higher you play, the bigger the jackpot will be.
The highest amount players stand to win in a single hand is 45% of the entire Bad Beat Jackpot pool, provided the triggering hand takes place at NL100. This percentage is 25% at PLO100 and 20% at 5-Card PLO100.
Once all the criteria are met, the total awarded amount is divided as follows:
- 50% goes to the losing hand
- The winner gets 20%
- All remaining players who were dealt into the hand split 20% equally
- The final 10% is taken by the operator as the admin fee for running the promo
It is important to mention that bad beat hands are subject to a review process to ensure everything is on the up and up. All winners can expect to be paid within five days, although this happens much faster in most cases.
Turn the Tables on Poker Variance
If you grind online cash games, you see thousands of hands every single day. Over a big sample, you’re bound to run into a few bad beats or, at the very least, witness a few take place on your table.
With the CoinPoker Bad Beat Jackpot promo, these situations become a cause for celebration, as everyone gets a nice share of the jackpot pool. This is especially true if you play at higher stakes, where you qualify for a big portion of the pool.
In 2025, there were numerous five-figure winners, with the highest amount paid being $33,897. The hand in question took place at NL100 when quad Tens lost to a Royal Flush.
