
Last year’s World Poker Tour Korea in Jeju ended with three players chopping up the money in the Main Event and Yin Tao being named the champion in one of the best Asian poker events in 2023.
Now, WPT is coming back to Jeju, with the WPT Korea festival for 2024 starting on March 25 and running through April 3, giving Asian poker players a great chance to welcome spring with some high-end tournament action.
This year’s WPT Korea will be played at Landing Casino, Jeju, a familiar location for high-stakes poker players who play the game in this part of the world.

WPT Korea Festival Highlight Events
As is usually the case with WPT festivals, WPT Korea will feature a variety of tournaments over the 10 days of action, catering to every buyin level you might prefer to play.
All events at this stop of the WPT will be played in local currency KRW, with KRW 1,000,000 worth just over $750 for reference.
The festival will kick off with an Opener event that will feature a KRW 850,000 buyin and cater to what will presumably be a very substantial number of players.
For the majority of players who aren’t up to playing the High Rollers, the Jeju Dragon Quest event with a KRW 1,100,000 buyin that runs from March 27 – 28 will present the next big attraction of the series.
Players who bust out the Main Event or want to keep going after the end of the Main will get a chance to play a Texas Hold'em Poker Mini Main Event at half the price, with buyin for this one set at KRW 1,400,000 and Day 1 flights running on March 31.

Lovers of the new Mystery Bounty format will have a chance to try it out at WPT Korea, with Mystery Bounty event running on April 1 and 2 and featuring a KRW 850,000 buyin.
For all the high-stakes players who make the trip out to Jeju, or stick around following the current Triton Poker Series stop, WPT has prepared a series of attractions.
The High-Roller schedule starts with a KRW 40,000,000 Super High-Roller, followed by a couple of KRW 10,000,000 Single Day High-Rollers on March 27 and April 1, and the KRW 20,000,000 WPT High-Roller.
All in all, the WPT Korea festival will feature something for everyone, with a couple of dozen events offering all players a chance to shine and compete for WPT silverware this spring.
WPT Korea Main Event & Full Schedule Revealed
The biggest highlight of the WPT Korea festival will be the Main Event, which starts on March 28 and features three Day 1 flights over three separate days.
The Main Event will feature a KRW 2,800,000 buyin fee and should draw in hundreds of players if last year is anything to go by.
If you enter the WPT Korea Main Event, expect to start with 50,000 chips and play 60-minute levels throughout the event, with plenty of play guaranteed at every stage of the tournament.
The WPT Korea Main Event will feature a massive 2,000,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, which means the top spots will pay six figures in US dollars and that everyone who reaches the final table will be in for a hefty payday.
