#1 – Mystery Bounty Tournaments Are Here
The mystery bounty tournament format has been one of the most popular new ways to play poker tournaments in the last couple of years, and for a good reason.
Mystery bounty events create a special buzz and add extra excitement to the late phases of play, making them exactly what the masses of poker players around the world want.
Starting January 7, 2024, PokerStars is finally introducing mystery bounty tournaments to the platform as well, with the first ever Mystery Bounty Sunday Million playing out as part of the New Year Series.
Moving forward into 2024, we can expect to see more mystery bounty tournaments run at PokerStars, as at least one such event should run as part of every major tournament series on the site.
If you have fallen in love with the mystery bounty format in 2023, you can expect to get to play many more mystery bounty events in 2024, with PokerStars never disappointing its players in terms of volume.
#2 – Exciting New Season of European Poker Tour (EPT)
It may not be much of a surprise, but EPT is back in 2024, with five unique EPT festivals announced by PokerStars in November 2023.
The full schedule for PokerStars EPT season of 2024 is already out and we now know that all the stops we had access to in 2023 will be back in 2024 as well.
This includes the exciting new Paris and Cyprus festivals, as well as the good old classics like Barcelona, Monte Carlo, and Prague.
The popular tournament festival will cover the year very well, with one EPT event running every two to three months, and plenty of side events running on the sidelines.
PokerStars has spoiled us for choice when it comes to live events in recent years, and we will have plenty of that in 2024 as well, as lower buy-in events like the EUREKA and Estrellas Poker Tour run at every EPT festival, and plenty of high rollers are played alongside each event.
Join PokerStars now to start playing the low buy-in satellites to these upcoming live events, and give yourself a chance to play at each one at just a fraction of the full price you would have to pay to straight up buy into the upcoming EPT events in 2024.
#3 – New Season of PokerStars Big Game
In 2023, PokerStars brought back the biggest tournament poker tour in North America, the NAPT, and with it announced the return of its most popular TV poker show, The Big Game.
The Big Game on Tour, as the new show is dubbed, will feature some of the biggest names in the game, including the likes of Phil Hellmuth, Alan Keating, Jennifer Tilly, alongside Loose Cannons like Lily Newhouse and Nikki Limo.
The first season was filmed in Las Vegas during the first stop of the newly returning NAPT in November 2023, and is set to air in early 2024, giving the poker fans plenty to look forward to.
The Big Game was historically one of the most exciting poker shows around, and the new season should be every bit as fun as the old ones, as the star-studded cast, high stakes, and fun Loose Cannons offer all the makings of a great TV show.
It will be especially fun to see Hellmuth and Keating going head-to-head again, as their clash in the “Creator’s Game” on HCL made for one of the most epic poker games we ever got to watch.
#4 – Massive SCOOP and WCOOP Series
Each and every year, PokerStars brings back its most exciting online poker festivals in SCOOP and WCOOP, and give players a chance to experience the thrill akin to WSOP or WPT without leaving the comforts of their home.
In 2024, we can expect SCOOP and WCOOP to break even more records, after both festival posted incredible numbers last year, and stand to be even more successful moving forward.
For the hard core poker pros, the PokerStars tournament series will present a new opportunity to extend their records and ply their trade, while for the thousands of poker hopefuls, both series will be a new chance for that big breakout.
The two are just the tip of the iceberg, as tournament series like Micro Millions and TCOOP will also make a return, along with plenty of regional poker festivals in legal jurisdiction where PokerStars operates on a local basis like Ontario, France, and Spain.
#5 – PokerStars and Paddy Power Bring Back Irish Open
Irish Open is one of the biggest and oldest live poker tournaments in Europe, and for the second year running, PokerStars will be partnering with Paddy Power to make the festival bigger than ever.
In 2023, the two iGaming powerhouses joined forces to make Irish Open into an even more massive success than it previously was, and have already announced their partnership on the 2024 edition of the event as well.
The 40th edition of Irish Open will be a special one and will feature a €1,000,000 Main Event along with plenty of low buy-in side events with incredible guarantees.
If you are looking for just one live tournament to play this spring, the Irish Open in late March 2024 is the one to go for, as the participation of PokerStars in this festival guarantees it will be one of the biggest and best of its kind ever organized.
