ACR Poker’s biggest OSS XL Sunday so far is already underway, with more than $4 million in listed guarantees across the September 13 schedule.
The slate includes Day 1A of the $500,000 GTD $66 Main Event, several six-figure Sunday majors, high-stakes PKOs, and Mini Phil’s Thrill.
I checked the ACR Poker client on September 13 to see how the schedule was developing in real time.
The most interesting update was the $66 Main Event. It was still in late registration with 1,397 enrolled when I checked the lobby.
Several of September’s biggest OSS XL tournaments also remain ahead.
What the ACR Poker Lobby Shows Right Now
The ACR client gave a useful snapshot of where Sunday’s action stood.
When I checked the lobby on September 13, the $66 OSS XL Main Event Day 1A was still in late registration with 1,397 enrolled.
The $2,650 Mini Phil’s Thrill had not yet started and carried a $250,000 guarantee. The $10,300 Phil’s Thrill was already running.
The lobby also continued to show the larger September Main Events and multi-day tournaments still to come.
That live view matters because tournament schedules can move quickly. Registration numbers several hours before an event starts do not always tell you much about the final field.

The $500K GTD $66 Main Event Is Underway
The most accessible headline tournament on Sunday’s schedule is also one of the most important.
Day 1A of the $500,000 guaranteed OSS XL Main Event started on September 13 with a $66 buy-in.
Players who survive this opening flight still have another Day 1 opportunity on September 20. Day 2 then takes place on September 27.
ACR is also running $6.60 satellites into the event.
That combination makes the tournament notable for recreational MTT players. A $500,000 guarantee is substantial for a $66 direct buy-in.
However, satellites should still be treated as separate tournament entries. Several failed attempts can quickly cost more than expected.

$600K and $500K Majors Headline the Sunday Schedule
The $66 Main Event is only one part of the September 13 slate.
The largest single-event guarantee listed in the original Sunday schedule was $600,000, attached to a $630 tournament.
There was also a $500,000 GTD event with a $1,050 buy-in. Another $630 tournament carried a $250,000 guarantee, while a $215 event also offered $250,000 guaranteed.
For high-stakes bounty players, the schedule included a $2,650 Progressive Knockout with $300,000 GTD.
That gives Sunday a wide mix of tournament formats.
Some players may prefer traditional structures. Others may focus on PKOs, where bounty value changes the value of certain all-in decisions.
The important point is that the Sunday schedule is not built around one type of player.
Mini Phil’s Thrill Is Still Part of the Sunday Action
Mini Phil’s Thrill is another notable high-stakes event on the schedule.
The tournament carries a $2,650 buy-in and a $250,000 guarantee.
When I checked the ACR client, the tournament had not yet started.
That gave Sunday evening players another major event still ahead even after several earlier OSS XL tournaments were already underway.
The event also has some recent history.
On the opening Sunday of OSS XL, ACR Poker CEO Phil Nagy reached the Mini Phil’s Thrill final table after also finishing runner-up in the $10,300 Phil’s Thrill.
There Are Lower Buy-Ins Too
The September 13 schedule is not just a collection of four-figure tournaments.
The original OSS XL Sunday slate also included a $27.50 Sunday Smash with $100,000 GTD and an $88 PKO with $150,000 guaranteed.
Across the wider schedule, ACR listed buy-ins at $1.65, $2.20, $5.50, $6.60, $8.80, $11, and $16.50.
That matters because the headline numbers can make OSS XL look more high-stakes than it really is.
There are major four-figure events, but there are also dozens of lower-cost ways to play.
I would still avoid stretching a normal bankroll just because the guarantee looks attractive. Large fields can create significant MTT variance even at relatively modest buy-ins.

The 25th Anniversary Tournament Is Still Building
OSS XL is not the only major tournament running at ACR this month.
The 25th Anniversary Tournament carries a $250 buy-in and a $2.5 million guarantee.
It uses a cumulative-stack structure. Players who qualify through more than one Day 1 can add their surviving stacks together rather than simply keeping the best one.
When I checked the ACR lobby on September 13, the Day 2 listing showed 4,216 enrolled.
I would not interpret that number as 4,216 unique players. The tournament allows repeated Day 1 participation, so the client’s “enrolled” figure should be treated as exactly that.
The tournament continues toward Day 2 on September 28.
What Comes Next After September 13?
Sunday is a major OSS XL day, but the series is still far from finished.
The $66 Main Event gets another starting flight on September 20.
That same day also brings Day 1A of the two larger OSS XL Main Events:
- $2,650 buy-in – $2.5 million GTD
- $1,050 buy-in – $2 million GTD
Both return for another Day 1 on September 27 before Day 2 on September 28.
The multi-flight schedule also continues deeper into the month.
That means September 13 should be viewed as one major checkpoint rather than the end of OSS XL.

Is the $66 Main Event the Best Value on the Schedule?
The $66 Main Event is attractive because the guarantee is large relative to the buy-in. The $6.60 satellite route lowers the initial cost even further.
But tournament value depends on more than the advertised prize pool.
Field size, player strength, structure, rake, and your own expected ROI all matter.
A large guarantee can also create an overlay, but only if player contributions fail to cover the advertised prize pool.
That is why I prefer watching actual registration numbers instead of assuming that a big guarantee automatically means good value.
