Players in the United States are gearing up for the final weekend of the 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker. More than two weeks of exciting poker action will culminate on Sunday, April 21, as the Main Event gets underway.
This year’s SCOOP kicked off at PokerStars US on April 5, featuring rich schedules with over 250 events across the board and in excess of $5.2 million in total guarantees.
This weekend, things will come to a head as the final batch of tournament kicks in, including Main Events that will see their Day 1 action take place on Sunday, leading to the inevitable conclusion and crowning of the champions on the following day.
$300,000 on Offer in NJ / MI
Players in Michigan and New Jersey have been playing in a combined player pool since the start of the last year, which allowed PokerStars to create richer tournament schedules and offer bigger guarantees.
Thus, it comes as no surprise that the 2024 SCOOP Main Event on PokerStars MI / NJ will feature a big guarantee of $3,000,000, and it is entirely possible that the guarantee will be broken by the time late registration is done and dusted.
The Main Event comes with a price tag of $300, but there are many ways for players to qualify, including special $3 Spin & Goes. So, if buying in directly is out of your bankroll scope, you can still look into ways to qualify and secure your seat in one of the biggest online events of the year.
The tournament kicks off on April 21, at 17:00 ET. The late registration is available for the first 4 hours and 30 minutes, and players are allowed unlimited reentries during this period. The Main Event will break after 6 hours and 30 minutes of play, and it will pick up on Monday, April 22, at 18:00 ET.
PA Players Competing for $225,000
In Pennsylvania, players will get to compete for a smaller but still very attractive prize pool of $225,000. The Main Event comes with the same buy-in of $300, and there are still many different satellites running, offering a chance to secure your seat at a discount.
In terms of starting times and details, they’re exactly the same as in NJ and MI. The event kicks off at 17:00 ET on Sunday and breaks after six and a half hours of play. Day 2 starts on Monday and plays down to the winner.
Of course, if running a single table isn’t enough to keep you focused, there are plenty more SCOOP tournaments on the Sunday schedule that you can run alongside the Main Event. This includes the trio of Main Event second chance tournaments that come with nice guarantees.
Join the Satellite Action Today
Whether you don’t have the bankroll to enter the Main Event directly or you’re simply looking to cut down your overall SCOOP costs, satellite events running around the clock are your friends.
There are $30 and $60 MTT qualifiers available, which give you a great shot at securing a seat without paying the full price.
On top of this, PokerStars US is running a special promo whereby you can claim a ticket to the Main Event Depositor Freeroll on April 21 by making a deposit of at least $50. There are no additional strings attached here, and the freeroll will give away 50 seats, so it’s well worth a shot.
