Last Updated: August 12, 2024

The first-ever WCOOP Boot Camp has been running at PokerStars since August 4 and has been a great success thus far, with thousands of poker enthusiasts showing up to prepare for the upcoming WCOOP.

The mini-series has handed out hundreds of thousands in prize money, while dozens of free training seminars from BBZ Poker coaches were offered to the players to help them prepare for the events and get the best possible results.

Dozens of WCOOP Boot Camp events still remain on the schedule, and with them, there are plenty of opportunities to win big, both on and off the tables.

The WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard continues running with a chance to win a $10,300 Gold Pass, while both weekly WCOOP ticket draws still remain ahead of us.

Keep reading to find out what you can still win from the Boot Camp over the next week.

What’s Still Left to Play For?

  • Dozens of daily Boot Camp events
  • $1,000,000 Main Event guarantee
  • 6x $10,300 WCOOP Gold Pass
  • 14x $2,500 WCOOP Silver Pass
  • 80x $109 Sunday Million ticket
  • Spots in the WCOOP League
  • $50,000 in randomly awarded WCOOP tickets

Win Gold and Silver Passes with the Boot Camp Leaderboard

The WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard started the first day of the mini-series, giving all players an equal chance to compete for valuable prizes.

Only events with buyins up to $215 count toward the Leaderboard, as the purpose of the Boot Camp is to award players with limited bankrolls who are perhaps looking to play their first WCOOP this summer.

If you have already been playing the WCOOP Boot Camp events, chances are you have some points toward the Leaderboard already, and if not, there is still time to catch up and win one of the 100 prizes being offered.

The top six players on the WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard, in particular, are in for a treat, as they will be awarded a WCOOP Gold Pass worth $10,300 in WCOOP buyins.

Players from seventh to 20th place will receive a WCOOP Silver Pass, still worth $2,500 in WCOOP tickets, while everyone who places between 21st and 100th will receive a $109 Sunday Million ticket as a consolation prize.

Join the WCOOP Boot Camp and win a $10,300 Gold Pass + spot in the WCOOP League

The best thing about the Leaderboard is that everyone gets the same chance, as all lower buyin tournaments are ranked the same regardless of their buyin.

Players can win up to 100 points for winning a WCOOP Boot Camp event, while merely making the money might get you from 5 to 25 points, and even more in some events.

All the points are added up regardless of the number of cashes you have or the buyins you get them in, making this a perfect opportunity for all the true grinders out there to get rewarded for their time and effort given at the tables.

The WCOOP League Is Coming

The 2024 WCOOP will be the first to feature a WCOOP League, a concept that PokerStars tried and tested in this year's SCOOP.

The WCOOP League will feature six teams of poker players, led by PokerStars Ambassadors such as Lex Veldhuis and Parker Talbot, competing for the title of best performer.

Each team will be made up of multiple players, and the top six players on the WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard will be automatically drafted into the teams.

If you needed more incentive to play the Boot Camp events, a chance to play with your poker idols and learn directly from them during this year's WCOOP is now a real possibility, so don't let it slip away and compete in the remaining events for your chance at a spot in the top six.

Valuable WCOOP Tickets Awarded via Random Weekly Draws

For a chance to win one of the prizes offered through the Leaderboard, you will need to grind hard and do well in some events, but you can get some free WCOOP tickets even if you don’t have the time to put into a full grind.

On August 14 and 21, PokerStars will host a special random prize drawing, where all players who complete the WCOOP Boot Camp Challenge will get equal treatment.

In order to qualify, you will need to opt in and either play 10 WCOOP Boot Camp events in the qualifying period or cash two of them.

If you can complete both these Challenges in time, you will get two entries into the drawing instead of one, and that is the maximum number of entries anyone can have.

So, if you play some WCOOP Boot Camp events over the following days, you will be in with a chance to win one of the following prizes in each of the two remaining drawings:

  • 5x $1,050 WCOOP Main Event – M Tickets
  • 15x $530 WCOOP Tickets
  • 50x $109 WCOOP Tickets
  • 50x $55 WCOOP Tickets
  • 102x $11 WCOOP Tickets
  • 250x $5.50 WCOOP Tickets
  • 500x $2.20 WCOOP Tickets

In total, the two drawings will pay out $50,000 worth of WCOOP Tickets, which you can use to enter any WCOOP event of the appropriate buyin in the upcoming series.

Key Events Still Coming Up

The WCOOP Boot Camp is only halfway done at this point, and there are still plenty of tournaments left on the schedule, including the biggest ones in the series.

August 18 will be the festival's highlight day. The $109 Main Event features a million-dollar prize pool, and several side events with hundreds of thousands in guaranteed prizes are also on the calendar.

Each day in the lead-up to the Main Event will feature a dozen unique events, with buy-ins as low as $2.20. Each event is an opportunity to boost your skills and your bankroll, win valuable Leaderboard points, and qualify for the weekly ticket drawings.

Head on over to PokerStars now to check out today’s schedule and join the action while there is still time to capitalize on one of the softest online tournament series this summer.
