How Does the WCOOP Boot Camp Work?
The 2024 WCOOP Boot Camp is a tournament poker festival offered by PokerStars in preparation for the upcoming WCOOP, the online equivalent of the World Series of Poker.
Starting on August 4, the WCOOP Boot Camp will include 80 events across two buyin orbits for a grand total of 160 unique tournaments with millions of dollars in guaranteed prize pools.
The Low orbit of the WCOOP Boot Camp will include events with buyins between $2.20 and $22, while the High orbit offers tournaments with buyins as low as $55 and as high as $5,200.
The series will culminate in a couple of Main Events, which start on August 18 and have $109 and $1,050 buyins respectively.
The Low Main Event offers a massive $1,000,000 prize pool, while the High orbit Main Event offers just $400,000 in prizes despite the buying being 10x higher, demonstrating the operator’s emphasis on lower stakes players for this particular tournament series.
