GGPoker has been dominating the online poker scene over the last couple of years, launching some massive tournament series and quickly becoming the biggest online poker site in the world.

This time around, the folks at GG have decided to outdo themselves by launching the biggest online poker festival ever hosted, the GG Online Championship, running from May 5 to May 31.

The Championship will host 131 events, along with many side tournaments, with a total guarantee set at $150 million, more than any poker series hosted at an online poker site before.

As usual, the operator will offer tournaments across different orbits, with four buy-in levels available this time around:

  • Low Orbit: $5 – $25 buyins
  • Medium Orbit: $25 – $500 buyins
  • High Orbit: $500 – $2,500 buyins
  • Super High Orbit: $2,500 and higher buyins

As you can tell, GG Online Championship will have a tournament available for every type of poker player out there, whether you are a recreational player looking to have some fun, a low stakes grinder, or a high-stakes regular with a million dollar bankroll.

Huge Events on the Horizon

While most online tournament series struggle to host events with a million dollar Main Event, GG Online Championship will be quite different.

The Championship’s schedule hosts three massive events with prize pools totaling $24 million between just those three, with tens of millions to be distributed across the series.

The $10,300 Super MILLION$ HR Main Event is easily the highlight of the Championship with its $10 million guaranteed prize pool, an impressive number for any online poker event.

Getting a thousand runners for the Main Event alone would be a challenge. But GGPoker decided to go further and host another Super MILLION$ HR Championship on May 29 with a $6 million guarantee, for yet another massive event.

Those looking to play slightly lower will still have a chance to win a million bucks at least, with the GG Online Championship Main Event coming with a price tag of $1,500 and an impressive prize pool of $8 million.

Players looking to join the Championship will have ample opportunities to win their seats into these big events through satellite tournaments, with many of them feeding the Main Event and other high-roller events.

The biggest ever tournament series online got plenty of attention in the poker world already, and GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu had this to say about it:

“It’s great to be able to introduce a brand-new tournament series that all GGPoker players can enjoy, and GG Online Championship is the biggest and best online series ever.

We’re doubling the guarantees seen elsewhere; players will be leaving a lot of value behind them if they don’t dive in at GGpoker this month.”

Extra Cash Through Leaderboards and Promotions

The $150 million in guaranteed prize pools that will be distributed across the Championship will be coming out of the players’ pockets. But, as usual, GGPoker is adding some value to the affair.

A total of $500,000 in cash prizes will be distributed among the winners of the three leaderboards during the series.

Players in the low orbit will share $100k, those in the medium will compete for $150k, and players in the high will be taking home their share of $250k in leaderboard prizes.

These leaderboards will be added on top of all the existing GGPoker promotions, which are as large and generous as ever.

As always, new players joining GGPoker can also claim their own welcome bonuses worth up to $600 on first deposit.

The players can now also use the newly implemented “Ask Fedor” feature to make sure they played their hands right from the perspective of one of the best tournament poker players of all time.

It’s safe to say that May will be an exciting month at GGPoker and an amazing introduction to the upcoming revamped World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
