Comeskey and Koon PokerStars Ambassadors

Another year is nearly behind us, and PokerStars took the opportunity at its flagship NAPT Las Vegas event to familiarize the poker community with some of the novelties it will be bringing in 2025.

PokerStars representatives took advantage of the massive turnout for one of the biggest poker events on US soil to inform the members of the media, players, and poker fans that two new brand ambassadors will be joining PokerStars. Namely, Jason Koon and Caitlin Comeskey have been officially introduced as new members of the Team PokerStars.

The introduction of new poker ambassadors came hand-in-hand with a couple of other announcements, including the one on the introduction of the Power Path promotion in the US markets and the operatorā€™s pivot towards more quality poker content in 2025.

All of this came at the peak of action in the NAPT Las Vegas Main Event, which is now entering its later stages and seeing remaining players battle for their spots at the final table.

Jason Koon Finds a New Home

Jason Koon has had one of the most illustrious careers in all of poker. Starting out in 2006 at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, Koon won his way through the stakes and rose to the very top of the poker world over nearly 20 years.

His long and prosperous career in the game has made him a household name in the community, as he became known as one of the most reputable and honorable people in all of poker.

With nearly $60,000,000 in tournament earnings, and obscene amounts of money won in the biggest live cash games in the world, Koon is also one of the most successful and profitable players who ever played the game.

Koon joins PokerStars following stints as poker ambassadors for PartyPoker and GGPoker, rival brands whose relationships with Koon ended over the last five years.

The high stakes poker legend spoke briefly at his NAPT introduction about his history with PokerStars and announced he was happy to join the ranks of the brandā€™s ambassadors, although it remains to be seen what exact role the operator will have for him.

Koon previously served as one of the integrity ambassadors at GGPoker, and it will be interesting to see if he takes on a similar role at PokerStars, one of the few poker operators whose reputations have remained unbesmirched over the many years on the market.

Poker Comedian Comeskey Joins PokerStars

On top of signing one of the most reputable players in all of poker in Jason Koon, PokerStars decided to also strengthen their team by bringing in Caitlin Comeskey, one of the most popular poker content creators these days.

Comeskey became popular over the last few years for her brilliant comedic poker content, which even earned her a GPI award for Best Short Form Content in early 2024.

Moving forward, Comeskey will be a part of the PokerStars team of ambassadors, which is a great step forward in her somewhat fledgling career in poker.

Caitlin could hardly contain her excitement to be joining one of the biggest brands in all of poker, as her incredible path to poker greatness continues.

For PokerStars, the new signing will go hand-in-hand with the announcement of more entertaining poker content coming in 2025, which Caitlin will surely play a big part in.

Power Path Is Coming to America

Apart from announcing two new Team Pro members, PokerStars also announced other changes coming in 2025, including the introduction of Power Path to the North American markets and the brand new weekly tournament dubbed Red Spade Sunday.

The Power Path promotion has been a leading way for players in the international markets to win seats to major live and online events over the last couple of years, and starting in 2025 it will become fully available in the NJ, PA, MI, and ON markets as well.

Gronk and Nick Wright will join Season 2 of Big Game on Tour

PokerStars also confirmed the return of NAPT in 2025, with seats directly available through the steps of the Power Path promotion.

Apart from NAPT, American players will also have a chance to win their seats in various other live events such as EPT, APT, and any other PokerStars tour around the world.

To cap it all off, PokerStars will be introducing a brand-new Sunday tournament for all American markets called Red Spade Sunday, and seats for this event will also be available via Power Path.

With entry point for the Power Path being as low as $0.50, next year will be an exciting one for all low-stakes poker players who have been dreaming of playing a major live event.

PokerStars Is Listening to Its Players

In addition to the introduction of Red Spade Sunday and Power Path, PokerStars also confirmed it would be bringing back the Big Game on Tour for another season, as well as creating more exciting content thatā€™s not yet been disclosed.

All of these ideas came as a direct result of listening to the desires of PokerStarsā€™ player base, who loved the return of Big Game last year and have been itching for more similar content.

The signing of Comeskey as a brand ambassador is surely another step in the direction of quality content creation, while other PokerStars pros and ambassadors will continue to add plenty of flavor to the versatile portfolio of poker content.

The next season of Big Game on Tour was being filmed during the NAPT Las Vegas, just as players were finding out more about the future, with the likes of Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, and Alan Keating joining the loose cannons at the green felt to create some action and drama.

Stay tuned for more updates from PokerStars as we enter 2025 and the plans turn into reality, with great potential for new poker shows and events on the horizon.
