PokerStars US SCOOP Wraps Up Handsomely Beating Guarantees

The 2024 edition of the PokerStars US Spring Championship of Online Poker is officially in the books. All things considered, the operator can mark down this year’s spring series as a major success according to all metrics.

PokerStars US hosted the SCOOP on its Pennsylvania and combined Michigan / New Jersey platforms, bringing hundreds of tournaments over the course of April. As always, the series featured three buy-in orbits, making it accessible to all players, regardless of their bankrolls and experience.

Both the PA and MI/NJ series exceeded their guarantees, showing there is a lot of interest in online poker and plenty of space for its growth in the coming months and years.

2024 US SCOOP Breaks Guarantees

Although PokerStars came up with rather generous guarantees for this year’s SCOOP, players came out in force to show that their estimates were on the conservative side.

In Pennsylvania, the overall guarantee was $2.3 million, but by the time it was all said and done, tournaments had dished out around $2.7 million in prizes, eclipsing the promise for some $400,000.

The $300 Main Event at PokerStars PA ended up with 763 entries, which wasn’t quite enough to beat the guarantee, but it came pretty close. The eventual winner took home $38,304.

In Michigan and New Jersey, PokerStars guaranteed $3,000,000 across the entire series. That guarantee was blown out of the water as well, since the total amount awarded was $3.4 million.

The Main Event ended up with 931 entries, also falling short of its $300,000 guarantee. The winner bagged $49,319 for their efforts.

Although Main Events weren’t roaring successes, the rest of the 2024 US SCOOP more than made up for it. With most other tournaments meeting and exceeding their promises, PokerStars has every reason to be satisfied with the recently concluded series.

In addition to cash prizes, event winners got to claim dedicated silverware that will stay with them as a lasting reminder of their success in the series and a motivation for future endeavors.

With the 2024 SCOOP in the books, players can look forward to the upcoming series and more big guarantees to come on PokerStars US.

The US Championship of Online Poker (US COOP) is still a few months away, but it’s safe to assume the operator won’t leave players high and dry in the meantime.

Of course, even outside of major series, PokerStars US features an extensive schedule of daily and weekly tournaments, and it is the only regulated operator in the country where you can enjoy poker variations beyond No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.
