The first-ever 888poker UK Poker League (UKPL), part of the greater National Poker League, has been a massive success thus far, with five successful festivals played out across Coventry, Edinburgh, Luton, Manchester, and Leeds attracting thousands across the different Grosvenor Casinos.

Two more festivals are left in the season, and the next one is coming to Reading South on September 24, offering a week of exciting and affordable poker action.

Like other UKPL festivals, this one will also feature a £560 Main Event along with a variety of other events such as a High Roller, a PLO event, and more.

With the UKPL season coming into the final stretch, the Reading South festival will contribute greatly to the final results of both the UKPL and NPL, with tens of thousands of pounds in leaderboard prizes on the line.

UKPL Reading South Schedule Revealed

Starting on September 24, the 888poker UKPL festival in Reading South will present one of the last opportunities to win UKPL Leaderboard points in pursuit of the top 10 positions that award prizes.

The festival will kick off with a £250 Opening Voyage event that will feature three Day 1 flights and a multi-day structure to get players in the mood for the Main Event.

The UKPL Main Event will feature the usual £560 buyin and four Day 1 flights on September 26-28, with all action wrapping up on the final day of the festival.

The players with an appetite for higher-stakes action will get to compete in a two-day £1,100 High Roller on September 26 and 27, which should see a significant prize pool build up even with a limited number of entries.

Players will get several other opportunities to try their luck and test their skills, including cashout satellites for major events throughout the week, and you can check out the full schedule in the table below:

$10k UKPL Package for the Season Champion

As the UKPL season draws to an end, players are hoping to perform well in the final two festivals and grab one of the top positions on the UKPL leaderboard, where valuable UKPL packages worth up to $10,000 will be given away.

Following the UKPL Leeds festival, Matthew Davenport leads the way with 145.29 points, ahead of Abdulkadir Ahmed with 119.23 and Christopher Johnson with 111.79.

As things stand, the three are the main competitors for the $10,000 888poker Live Event Package, which will give the player a chance to play five 888poker Live events next season.

Still Time to Compete in the Inaugural 888poker UKPL

The first season of the 888poker-sponsored UKPL started early in the year and has been raging on ever since, with players traveling across the country to compete for valuable prizes, leaderboard points, and trophies.

Now, just two festivals remain in the year, with Reading South taking the place of the previously planned London festival, and Coventry acting as the last stop of the season.

If you have already played some of the events this year, you may be in with a shot at one of the top 10 spots on the leaderboard, which gives you an extra reason to visit the Grosvenor Casino in Reading South this September.

Even if you don’t have any points just yet, a good run in the final two festivals could put your name on the map, and the prizes you will be playing for alone will be well-worth playing regardless of the leaderboard.
