WPT Cambodia 2024 Guide: Full Schedule, Highlights, Venue, and More

A new year is here and with it yet another season of the World Poker Tour (WPT), with the first stop of the season set in Cambodia and starting as early as January 17, 2024.

This will be the first time that a WPT Main Tour event is played in Cambodia, with the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh hosting the inaugural festival.

WPT Cambodia will feature two weeks of non-stop poker action, with tournament buy-ins ranging from just $200 all the way up to $10,000, with plenty of events at all buy-in levels in-between.

With hotel rooms offered at the venue itself for as low as $55 a night, WPT Cambodia presents itself as one of the best options for some tournament action in the early days of the year.

NagaWorld Integrated Resorts Welcomes WPT Players

Featuring more than 1,650 luxurious rooms and suites, NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh is the biggest and most luxurious hotel-casino in Cambodia, and one of the finest 5-star properties in Southeast Asia.

The resort played host to last year’s WPT Prime stop for Cambodia, and following the massive success of the festival, organizers decided to give it a shot and give it a chance to host a Main Tour festival in 2024.

WPT Cambodia Highlights and Schedule

The WPT Cambodia festival this January will feature a number of exciting events you don’t want to miss, whether you prefer playing low stakes poker tournaments with massive guarantees or paying a slightly higher buy-in and playing against a limited playing field.

The festival opens with the Championship Warm Up event with a $800 buy-in fee and an attractive $150,000 guarantee, the first opportunity to win big this winter.

The tournament will feature multiple Day 1 flights and allow for re-entries during the late registration period, giving you plenty of opportunities to build up a stack and make the money.

Starting on Saturday, January 20, you will have a chance to experience the popular Mystery Bounty format as well, as an $800 Mystery Bounty event with a $200,000 guarantee kicks off.

Another event with multiple Day 1 flights will be offered from January 22, with the $1,100 8 Max Survivor offers two starting days and $150,000 in guaranteed prizes.

If you are on the lookout for higher stakes action, events like the $2,200 Single Day Megastack on January 18, $5,500 Megastack Single Day High Roller on January 20, and $10,000 Super High Roller on January 22, will all offer plenty of opportunity to compete in the high stakes bracket.

The main highlight of the festival, of course, will be the WPT Cambodia Championship event, which will offer a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool with a $3,500 buy-in fee.

You can qualify for the Championship via a variety of live satellite tournaments that will be played in the days leading up to it, as Day 1A only starts on January 25, a full week into the festival.
