Action Card

An action card in poker is a community card that gets revealed on the turn or the river and triggers a lot of betting action. As the action card improves the hand of more than one player, it induces all of them to bet or raise.

Action Card Poker Example:

Let’s say you have an A J hand, and your opponent has pocket kings. The board brings Q T 5 on the flop, not improving either of your hands. Then, the turn card brings up a king, helping you make a straight and your opponent a three-of-a-kind hand. This will undoubtedly lead to more action.
