The big bet is a term used in fixed-limit games referring to the amount players can bet or raise on later streets. The big bet is twice the size of the small bet, which is used in the first two betting rounds.

Big Bet Poker Example:

Let’s say you’re playing a $5/$10 limit Texas Hold’em game. The $10 bet is the big bet in this case, and it’s the amount you will have to use on the turn and the river.
