What Is Broadway In Poker

In poker, players sometimes refer to the highest-ranking straight possible, which consists of an Ace, a King, a Queen, a Jack, and a Ten, as a Broadway or a Broadway straight.

Based on the same principle, Aces, Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Tens are often called Broadway cards.

The name originated from the famous Broadway in New York, a road famous for its high-end building and famous theaters.

The term “Broadway” is commonly used in poker in both professional and casual settings and is sometimes referred to as face cards or paint.
