Exploitative poker is a strategy in which you’re looking for your opponent’s weaknesses in order to exploit them. Unlike GTO, which seeks theoretically perfect play, exploitative poker aims to take advantage of specific tendencies a player might have.
Exploitative Poker Example:
Let’s say you’re facing a player who doesn’t back down and fold as often as they should when you’re aggressive. You can adjust and exploit them by looking to value-bet wider. You should also avoid bluffing since they won’t fold as often to make this action profitable.
