Middle Position

The middle position in poker is one of the three main groups of poker table positions, standing between early and late positions. Depending on the game format, it can include a varying number of seats but is always seated after the Under The Gun player.

Middle Position Poker Example:

When playing a standard nine-handed poker game, the players in the middle position are those in the MP 1, MP 2 (Lojack), and MP 3 (Hijack) seats. On the other hand, in a 6-max poker game, only the player in the Middle Position/Hijack seat is considered to be in the middle position.
