Ring Game

A ring game is a regular poker cash game. In ring games, players use their actual money represented by chips, instead of receiving a predetermined amount of chips for their buy-in, as they do in poker tournaments. Any poker variation can be a ring game, as this format doesn’t affect or indicate it in any way.

Ring Game Poker Example:

Let’s say you want to play a no-limit Hold’em ring game. If the house offers that game, you can simply sit, buy in, and start playing. You can also re-buy or leave at any time, unlike in a tournament.
