The 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker is officially in the books! Once again, one of the most popular online MTT series did not disappoint, bringing heaps of action, massive prize pools, and exciting moments for players and poker fans alike.
With the likes of PokerStars ambassador Lex Veldhuis regularly streaming their SCOOP efforts, even those not able to participate directly got to enjoy the adrenaline of the series and share in on some nail-biting moments along the way.
After more than three weeks of play and over 380 individual events, things have finally wrapped up, meaning it’s time to look back at the series and highlight some of the biggest and most important moments.
All Main Events Crush Their Respective Guarantees
The 2024 SCOOP wrapped up with the Main Event action, as is customary. For this edition, players had six Main Events to look forward to on May 29. Three of them featured No Limit Texas Hold’em, and three were all about Pot Limit Omaha.
By the time registration periods ended, all six of these tournaments managed to handsomely smash their respective guarantees, posting some impressive numbers.
Of these, the 115-L $109 Main Event was the most impressive, attracting a total of 23,616 entries, comfortably exceeding its original $2,000,000 promise. In the end, it was the player with the fitting alias ‘greatness_m’ who ran away with the title and just over $241,000 in prize money.
The $1,050 Medium version of the NLHE Main Event saw a turnout of 3,993 players, which was also more than enough to smash the guarantee. In the end, the win went to Brazil, with Paulo “Paulohpmoraes” Moraes picking up the trophy and $493,965 after a heads-up deal.
The 115-H Main Event, which came with a price tag of $10,300 saw 534 entries as high-rollers came out to battle it out on the virtual felt. The win went to ‘Fakhish,’ who outlasted the impressive field consisting of many well-known pros to bank just shy of $950,000.

Team Lex Triumphs in the Inaugural SCOOP League
The inaugural SCOOP League saw a heated battle between four teams spearheaded by four PokerStars ambassadors. All players had an opportunity to pick their favorite, and those who picked right would get a seat in a freeroll with some generous prizes up for grabs.
With the series now over, the League results are in as well, and it is official. Team Lex Veldhuis ran away with the victory, and all players who supported Team Lex will receive tickets for the freeroll taking place tomorrow, May 31.
The freeroll winner will pick up a package to the UKIPT / ESPT Malaga event, and there will be loads of $109 Step 4 tickets up for grabs in consolation prizes.
Team Lex managed to run away with the victory despite not having the best-performing player of the League. That title went to ‘FAL1st,’ who played under the Team Spraggy banner.
This was an exciting series for Veldhuis. In addition to his team winning the inaugural SCOOP League, the Dutch pro managed to claim his very first SCOOP title after countless close calls during this and past series.
Action Continues With SCOOP Afterparty
The 2024 Spring Championship of Online Poker did not disappoint. For many players, it will be a memorable series, with some, like Lex, picking up their first trophy and others, like Benny Glasser, setting their personal records.
The attention of the poker world will now turn to Las Vegas and the 2024 World Series of Poker, which kicked off a couple of days ago. However, for those not able to attend, PokerStars is throwing a follow-up online series.
Dubbed the SCOOP Afterparty, the series runs June 2 – 10, and features 136 events in total. Just like its big brother, the Afterparty offers three buy-in tiers and loads of affordable action across the board.
Stealing the spotlight are three Mystery Bounty Main Events taking place on June 9. The $109 Low version of the Main Event comes with a cool $1,000,000 guarantee.
If you missed the SCOOP action or don’t feel satisfied with the results, this is an opportunity for a do-over, so make the best out of it!
