The World Poker Tour is coming to Cyprus! As part of Season XXII, WPT is throwing a huge WPT Prime Cyprus event this month, with a million dollar guaranteed $1,100 Main Event and over a dozen side events.
Scheduled to start on August 15, the festival will be played at the luxurious five-star Chamada Prestige Hotel Spa in the north of Cyprus, just a short walk away from the beautiful Mediterranean beaches.
The brand-new destination for the WPT Prime event is another testament to the incredible efforts the Tour has been doing to expand its global reach and create new opportunities for players in all parts of the world.

WPT Prime Main Event Offers a Million Dollar Prize Pool
Million dollar prize pools are not uncommon these days, but when the buyin is just $1,100, few tournaments end up reaching the million dollar threshold.
Regardless of the number of entrants, WPT Prime Cyprus Main Event will pay at least a million dollars, as the WPT is guaranteeing this prize pool for the event.

The luxurious Chamada Prestige Hotel Spa, with its 50-table poker room, will host the Main Event between August 22 and 26, with four starting flights and three days of play in total.

WPT Prime Cyprus Schedule Revealed
As is always the case with WPT Prime festivals, the $1,100 Main Event will only be the crowning jewel, while a number of poker tournaments will play out over the period between August 15 and 26, each offering a substantial prize pool.
WPT is offering guaranteed prize pools for nearly all events on the schedule, as well as a number of satellite events for both the WPT Prime Cyprus Main Event and the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas this December.
Other events on the calendar will include a mix of games and formats, with buyins ranging from $400 and $5,300, giving everyone an opportunity to play at a price range that makes sense for them.
Among the different formats on offer, events like Mystery Bounty, Pot Limit Omaha, and Winner Takes All will be featured, adding plenty of color to the festival as a whole.

Satellites Galore in Cyprus
WPT festivals are known for offering plenty of opportunities for players to qualify to the major events, and WPT Prime Cyprus will be no exception to the rule.
Starting as early as August 15, the festival will offer at least one live satellite every day, with up to 20 seats into the Main Event guaranteed in the $275 Main Event satellites.
What’s even more, satellites will be organized for the $2,200 High Roller as well, along with those for the $10k WPT World Championship, which is set to be played in Las Vegas in December this year.
