The Brook Poker Room is the new place to get your poker fix in New Hampshire. ‘The Poker Room’ at Hampton Falls Casino has joined forces with The Brook (formerly known as the Seabrook Poker Room) to offer New Hampshire poker players a new premier room to play in.

For those that have fond memories of the ‘The Poker Room’ and the Seabrook Poker Room, you won’t be disappointed as the Brook offers the same games you loved to play with the same dealers that you’ve known for years.

Brook Poker Room Review

Players, both young and old, can hone and fine-tune their skills at one of the 25 high-end tables in their new private poker space.

This new poker room offers poker tournaments for the MTT grinders, and the cash game crushers can still get the rush of going all-in with the myriad of poker cash games on offer.

The Brook does well to remember what made its predecessor successful, bringing back promotions and poker games that were favored by the original clientele.

Those who have had experience playing in both former poker rooms will still be able to enjoy promotions like Omaha High Hand payouts and no rake promo for $2/$5 cash games on specified days. One new feature that may appeal to some is the new mini bad beat promotion for tournaments.

The Brook poker room hours differ from the norm of most card rooms in the United States. Currently, the casino and poker room are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and open from Wednesday through to Sunday.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, poker players can battle it out from 11:30 am – 12:00 am, Fridays and Saturdays have extended opening hours from 11 am – 1 am, and then on Sundays, you can play from 11 am till 12 am.

As this is a new poker room, the décor is nice, and the tables’ quality does not feel dilapidated. The auburn tables and felt give the room a cool saloon-like vibe.

Players can enjoy tableside dining and cocktail service and can beat the rush by phoning ahead of time to secure a seat at one of the tables. You don’t have to worry about any second-hand smoke, either, as the room is non-smoking.

The Brook Poker Room Cash Games

Main cash games that run at The Brook poker room revolve around low stakes Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.

As these are currently the two most popular poker variations, this should come as no surprise. Despite catering towards the lower end of the poker totem pole, cash games can seem to play much bigger with max buy-ins of 150 big blinds and higher.

The Brook Poker Room Cash Games

For those that love the great game of Omaha, the $1/$2 PLO Hi table allows you to buy in with 250 big blinds. This offers some great play and stops the game from turning into a shove fest on the flop as the stack-to-pot ratio from the big buy-ins allows for more navigation on the later streets.

The cash games you can expect to see running at The Brook poker room also include:

  • $1/$2 No Limit Hold’em: Buy-in: $50 to $300 – Runs: Always
  • $2/$5 No Limit Hold’em: Buy-in: $200 to $800 – Runs: Always
  • $1/$2 Pot Limit Omaha Hi: Buy-in: $80 to $500 – Runs: Always
  • $2/$5 Pot Limit Omaha Hi: Buy-in: $200 to $800 – Runs: Always
  • $1/$4 Mixed Limit Omaha 8/Stud Hi: Buy-in: Min $20 – Runs: Occasionally
  • $2/$4 Limit Omaha 8/b: Buy-in: Min $20 – Runs: Occasionally
  • $2/$4 Limit Hold’em: Buy-in: Min $20 – Runs: Occasionally

Also, it is worth noting that on rare occasions, there may be a $5/$10 game if the demand is there for it.

So, if you are with a couple of buddies and looking to up the ante, speak to the floor managers, and something could be arranged for you.

The Brook Poker Room Promotions

The Brook Poker Room does well when it comes to promotions. The high poker hand promos offer players the chance to recoup some losses after a tough day, and those on a heater can see their profits soar even higher.

Currently,  high-hand promos usually pay out around the $500 mark, but this can get as high as $1,000 if you're there at the right time.

On top of this, for cash games, there’s a $10k mini bad-beat jackpot. If you lose with Aces full of Kings with both yours and your opponent's hole cards playing, then you'll get the lion’s share.

The loser gets $4,000 for their troubles, the hand winner receives a tidy bonus of $2,000, and the remaining cash is split amongst the rest of the table.

The Brook Poker Room Tournaments

Since the remodel, The Brook’s tournament offering has been affected massively due to the pandemic. So far, the tournaments have been few and far between through no fault of their own.

Brook Poker Room Layout

However, when tournaments can begin to run regularly again at The Brook, they will probably incorporate some of Hampton Falls’ most popular structures. The old place was great for MTTs, and there is no reason to think the Brook poker room will be any different.

Parking at The Brook

There is plenty of free parking at The Brook. You’ll find a massive parking lot as well as handicapped parking in the front row if you should need it.

The Brook Casino Games, Race & Sportsbook

In addition to the poker room, Brook also offers a decent variety of options for gambling fans in general. If you ever get tired of playing poker and need a change of pace, the venue has you covered.

Table Games

The Brook Casino is one to avoid if you enjoy slot machines, as you won’t find any of those here. However, there’s plenty of action to be found at the table games such as:

The dealers for these games are looked favorably on as they help create a friendly atmosphere for most novice casino visitors.

It’s also worth mentioning that The Brook is the only place you can play table games with jackpots in the state of New Hampshire. Players can chase the thrill of hitting progressive jackpots in Cajun Stud and making Blackjack bonus bets.

Stadium Games

As well as being the only place in New Hampshire for jackpots on table games, The Brook is also the only casino to play Stadium Games. Without leaving your seat, you can play roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and Three Card Poker on electronic touch screens that link to live dealers.

Race & Sportsbook

For those familiar with The Brook before it came under new ownership, you already know that the racebook here has been the only place to place your wagers for years.

The Brook does well in this regard as it offers great sports viewing, simulcasting iconic greyhound tracks, as well as showing all major sporting events.

The stadium seating at the racebook is quite luxurious. The layout has been well thought out to offer guests the best viewing experience possible with couches, recliners, three oversized cinema screens, as well as a plethora of individual TVs and private carols.

When not in the poker room, a trip to the new DraftKings Sportsbook is a must. It’s the first retail sports betting venue in New Hampshire and offers guests the opportunity to make a wager on all things sports.

The sportsbook is comfortable, and the improvements made under the new ownership create a fantastic betting experience.

The Brook Casino – Food & Drink

This is usually the section where I list off all the non-related casino activities that you can do at a particular poker room, but, unfortunately, options are limited at The Brook. You can grab a bite to eat or indulge in a few drinks, but that’s about it.

On the bright side, the drinks on offer here can give anyone a chance to have a good time. The finest craft beers from the state, as well as all the cocktails you could think of, are available.

The place to eat is at Charlie's, where you can get all your tailgate favorites like pizza and dogs. It's a fantastic casual dining experience while watching a sporting event, regardless if you have any skin in the game or not.

The Brook – Keeping You Safe Against Covid-19

Obviously, the casino experience you all are used to has changed since the pandemic. To keep all players and team members safe, the following procedures will be in place:

  • Mandatory mask-wearing by guests and team members
  • Social Distancing – with plexiglass barriers installed at table games, etc.
  • Daily team members’ health screening
  • Increased cleaning teams
  • Casino capacity limited to 50%

Further info about how The Brook is keeping everyone safe can be found here.

Final Thoughts on The Brook Poker Room

If you’re a New Hampshire native or just visiting the area, there’s little you could do wrong in choosing to play poker at The Brook poker room.

The room is clean, comfortable, and offers decent cash games, although the tournament options are limited for the time being.

The table games area and the race and sportsbook allow guests to get away from the poker tables for a more relaxed atmosphere and are a cut above other nearby casinos. So, all in all, even if you’re on a limited bankroll, you’ll find plenty to do at the Brook poker room!
