Bomb Pot

A bomb pot is a type of poker hand in which players agree to place a certain amount of chips into the pot before the cards are dealt. In a bomb pot, preflop betting is entirely skipped, and the action resumes after the flop is dealt. This type of poker hand makes for bigger and more exciting pots and also means more players would see the flop than they would in a regular game.

Bomb Pot Poker Example:

Let’s say you’re playing a 6-max $5/$10 poker game. Along with other players, you agree to pay the standard ante amount of 5x the BB, meaning each of you pays $50. This automatically creates a sizable $300 pot. After that, the dealer distributes the hole cards and deals the flop, and the usual action continues.
