Family Pot

A family pot in poker is when every player or the majority of them in the game calls the initial bet to reveal the first three cards on the flop. Family pots are most common in low-limit poker games, as players in these types of games lack the knowledge and skill to play more methodically or simply want to play loose and aggressive.

Family Pot Poker Example:

If you’re playing a full-ring poker game with eight other players, and seven of them call to see the flop, you all combine to create a family pot.
