Hand for Hand

Hand-for-hand in poker is a rule used in multi-table tournaments. This format is used at a stage when the bubble is near and ensures a fair playing environment by making sure each table plays the same number of hands. Hand-for-hand prevents players from stalling to avoid elimination.

Hand-for-Hand Poker Example:

Let’s say you’re playing a large multi-table tournament, and the hand-for-hand is in effect. Once your table finishes its hand, it must wait for all other tables to finish the same hand before another hand is dealt.
