High Stakes

High-stakes poker games are a step up from mid-stakes. At this level, the competition is always tough, and there’s less value to be had here compared to games with lower stakes.

The only poker games with higher stakes are “nosebleed” games, which aren’t nearly as common as high-stakes games.

Poker High Stakes Example:

In online poker, high-stakes cash games are those starting at the $5/10 range. In live poker games, high stakes are any poker games with blinds of at least $10/$20 and up to $100/$200.

As for tournaments, any MTT with a buy-in of $500 or over falls into the high-stakes category.
