Orbit

An orbit in poker is one rotation of the dealer button around the table. An orbit is complete once every player has been in every position. The orbit isn’t a fixed number of hands, as the extent of the orbit depends on the poker format and number of players.

Orbit Poker Example:

If you’re playing a 9-handed poker game, the orbit would be nine hands. In comparison, in a 6-max game, the orbit can be a maximum of six hands.
