Sklansky Bucks

Sklansky Bucks is a poker mathematical calculation used to determine how much money you can win based on your equity at that moment in the hand. The formula for calculating Sklansky bucks is (total pot size) * (equity) – (last call amount).

Sklansky Bucks Poker Example:

Let’s say that the hero has an A A hand, and the villain has a suited T 9 hand. The hero is a 78% favorite to win the hand. There’s $500 in the pot, and the hero’s last call was $50. Using the Sklansky Bucks formula, the calculation is $500 x 78% – $50, making the expected value of this play $340.
