Spot

The spot is a poker slang term for a weak and inexperienced player. They are often the target of more skilled players who are looking to exploit them. Other terms include mark and sucker.

Spot Poker Example:

One of the simplest ways to determine if a player is a spot is to observe if they are getting involved in too many pots and playing hands they should fold.  To maximize your profits against the spot, you need to get into every pot you can, as they will eventually always make mistakes, especially in later betting rounds.
