World Poker Tour (WPT) Releases Partial Season XXI Schedule

Following a successful 20th season of one of the most prestigious live poker tours in the world, and as the WPT Championship at the Wynn still continues to rage on, the WPT has released a partial schedule for Season XXI, including a number of main tour and WPT Prime stops for 2023.
The Tour has had a very successful year in 2022 and will continue to feature events across the globe this year, in accordance with its customs and in the spirit of their brand.
Speaking about the new season of WPT, organization’s CEO Adam Pliska said:
“Coming off an incredible 20th-anniversary season for WPT, we are looking forward to its progression into 2023.”
“Players have much to anticipate during Season XXI, as we have established some new partnerships and continued our relationships with longstanding staples of the Tour.”
Indeed, the preliminary schedule shows that the Tour will be returning to many spots we have all grown to love, along with launching for the first time in several new locations.
Four Main Tours Stops in the First Half of 2023
The preliminary schedule for WPT XXI now holds four main tour stops, all of which will be played out in the first half of the year.
The Tour will make its first stop in Lincoln, California, where the popular WPT Rolling Thunder will be played between April 1 and 4.
Next, poker fans will have a chance to enjoy the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood, Florida between April 28 and May 2, before traveling out to Durant, Oklahoma for WPT Choctaw.
Finally, the WPT Gardens Poker Championship has also been scheduled for May 21 to 25, to be played at the Hawaiian Gardens, California.
All of these events, apart from WPT Rolling Thunder, have already been scheduled for televised final tables. This means poker fans around the world will have an opportunity to watch many of their poker heroes on TV once again.
The slight downside of the main tour dates announced thus far is that they are all on American soil. However, the Tour has also announced a number of international stops for WPT Prime, a more affordable version of the popular Tour.
WPT Prime Stops for International Players
While American players will get to enjoy plenty of action in $3,500 and $5,250 Main Events, the Tour will also make stops in other parts of the world, offering more affordable action, but still with plenty of prestige.
The first WPT Prime stop of 2023 will be WPT Prime Paris, which will go down at Club Circus Paris between January 31 and February 5.
The Tour then travels all the way across the world for WPT Prime Goal Coast in Australia between March 2 and 6, and WPT Prime Cambodia from March 16 to 20.
Another European stop of WPT Prime is scheduled for March 29 to April 1, when WPT Prime Amsterdam will play out at the Holland Casino in Amsterdam.

Indian players will get their opportunity to enjoy the Tour in April, when Deltin Royale Casino in Goa will host WPT Prime India.
WPT Prime Slovakia (May 11-15) and WPT Prime Sanremo (June 7-11) will be the two final European stops, while WPT Prime Vietnam will play out in Hanoi between May 25 and 29.
Only half of season XXI has been announced thus far, and we can already tell that poker players across the globe will be in for plenty of amazing action across 2023 at one of the world’s biggest poker tours.
