The 54th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) is now less than two months away. The Series hosts, Horseshoe Las Vegas, and Paris Las Vegas are working diligently to ensure another successful poker festival.
The WSOP will be returning to the newly opened Horseshoe Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, the same brand that hosted the inaugural WSOP back in 1970.
Caesars Entertainment, the company behind the WSOP and its host venues, is preparing to put on a real show and make the 2023 WSOP the largest ever, which is why the logistics are already being put in place.
Starting Thursday, April 13, all players will have the option to pre-register for the WSOP in person at the Paris Casino main cage, as well as online via BravoPokerLive.com.
Early registration for the Main Event will make the event itself run smoother than ever and ensure that the long lines, which have historically troubled the WSOP, are avoided as much as possible.
Record Breaking WSOP Is Upon Us
Caesars Entertainment is expecting the 54th Annual WSOP to be a massive, record-breaking event, and there are many reasons to believe so.
Las year, the WSOP moved to the Las Vegas Strip for the first time in its history. This move was immediately felt, as the 53rd Annual WSOP featured the largest-ever combined prize pool for WSOP bracelet events in the history.
Many expected the Main Event to shatter records as well, but it ended up being the second-largest field ever.
This was still a great success considering it was the first time the event was played at the new venue.
Now, Bally’s Las Vegas re-branded as Horseshoe and created an atmosphere that poker players will enjoy even more.
The venue takes us back in time to the early days of WSOP when legends like Doyle Brunson and Johnny Moss put their names down in history books.
The WSOP will now be working with as many as 608 poker tables during the festival, allowing unprecedented numbers of players to play at the same time and compete in multiple events simultaneously.
The Series’ official online poker partners, GGPoker and WSOP.com are also offering more satellites than ever, with GGPoker guaranteeing at least 600 qualifiers and WSOP.com adding another 111.
These, of course, are just the minimum numbers of qualifiers. We can probably expect more to win their seats online, in addition to all the live satellites that will be running in countless venues across the US and beyond.
Online registration for the 2023 WSOP opens this Thursday, April 13. For the first time ever, players will have an option to save by booking an entire trip package, including hotel & airfare. Step-by-step registration info can be found now here: https://t.co/hVt4hNFWuP pic.twitter.com/NmbJR1HBcz
