Season 9 of High Stakes Poker Returning Feb 21 With Some of the Biggest Names in the Mix
High Stakes Poker, one of the most recognizable and popular poker shows ever, will return this year. Starting from the third week in February, poker fans will be able to enjoy the ninth installation of the iconic show.
And according to the show's producers and social media, it will be packed with poker superstars.
The legendary poker show has been running with breaks since 2006. Fans got to enjoy the first installation, which aired up to 2011 on cable TV.
However, thanks to Mori Eskandiani, High Stakes Poker made a comeback, and fans can once again enjoy the high-stakes battles on the poker platform PokerGO.
Thanks to Eskandiani's ability to assemble big-name lineups, High Stakes Poker has been successful right from the get-go.
It gave fans insights into a movie-like atmosphere in which poker legends and real-life celebrities make decisions for six and, occasionally, seven-figure amounts.
More Packed Than Ever?
The first episode of season nine will air on February 21, 2022, and the following episodes will be available each Monday from 8 PM Eastern Time on PokerGO. According to Eskandiani, they have pretty big expectations:
Season 9 of High Stakes Poker is arguably the best season yet, and we cannot wait for poker fans to enjoy the game in its purest form at breathtaking stakes.
In his press release, the Vice President of PokerGO also said that they plan to bring back some of the things that made High Stakes Poker recognizable.
As he further explained, this means the return of the cash bricks and the update of the scenery.
The tradition will also be kept regarding the stakes. The first episode of the new season will feature minimum stakes of $200/$400 with an option of the $800 straddle. These stakes alone make the show one of the most exciting to watch.

Aside from the names we've already mentioned, the new season will feature the return of Jean-Robert Bellande and Bryn Kenney.
The regulars on the show will be joined by one of the top live cash game players in the world's Garret Adelstein.
Adelstein made his name on another popular poker show, “Live at the Bike,” and, lately, playing on the Hustler Live stream. His clashes with the old school poker legends will probably be one of the most interesting to watch.
Kim Hultman will be another first-timer in front of the High Stakes camera. Kim became known thanks to his LetsGiveItASpin Youtube channel, the culmination of his passion for slot machines and casino games.
Other confirmed names for the ninth season of High Stakes Poker are poker legend and high stakes regular Patrik Antonius, as well as the World Series of Poker Main Event champion Koray Aldemir and the popular actor-turned-poker player Jennifer Tilly.
