From its humble beginnings a few years back, the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival has become a staple of the poker world, offering fun and affordable action for all the fans of non-Hold’em games out there.

The last week of February, the Festival is coming back to Las Vegas, taking place at Resorts World February 25 – 29, featuring around-the-clock cash game action, a couple of tournaments, and a nice NAPT Grand Prize package thrown into the mix.

Read on to find out all the details and don't miss out on the opportunity to play your favorite poker variations in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere and at the stakes that won't cost you an arm and a leg!

Affordable Action and Plenty of Added Value

The Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival VII will feature two tournaments and non-stop dealer choice cash game action, with limits as low as $4/$8 and $8/$16. Of course, higher stakes games will be available on request.

As for the tournaments, the first of the two events takes place on February 26, and it is a $300 Omaha 8 / Stud 8 event.

The $300 H.E.R.O.S. tournament takes place on February 29, and in addition to the regular prize pool, it will feature a Grand Prize package for the winner, consisting of:

  • A $550 buy-in for a non-Hold’em NAPT event
  • Flight costs from any airport in North America
  • Four nights at the hosting venue

The schedule for the 2024 North American Poker Tour hasn’t been released yet, but it should be coming out very soon. The package winner will be free to choose any stop from the schedule, and the approximate value of the Grand Prize is over $3,000.

Poker Fun Away from the Tables

In addition to all the excitement on the felt, Mixed Game Festivals always bring with some additional content for players to enjoy and win some cool prizes while at it.

On February 27, there will be a Poker Trivia competition open to everyone, with plenty of prizes up for grabs for those who show off their knowledge of the Festival and the poker world in general.

For this edition of the Festival, Cardplayer Lifestyle has partnered up with Ladies International Poker Series to bring an introductory course for Omaha 8 and Razz. The free course will be hosted by Linda Johnson, a Poker Hall of Fame member, on the morning of Wednesday, February 28.

Another novelty players can enjoy is the free last longer competition. The last player with a Pokercoaching.com patch standing in both tournaments will receive a free one-year premium membership for the site.

It’s Time to Mix It Up in Vegas Again

The last week of February will be marked by the Mixed Game Festival, and all players visiting Resorts World can look forward to a top-notch treatment secured not only by Robbie Strazynski, the man running the show but also by always friendly and welcoming staff at Resorts World.

Traditionally, the Festival cash game tables have allowed a lot of freedom when it came to choosing games to play, and that shouldn’t change. So, if you want to explore some funky poker variations for a proper change of pace, this is the place to do it.

On the other hand, if you’re more “conservative” when it comes to mixed games, there are two fun tournaments to get involved in.

With all the fun activities on and off the felt, valuable prizes added to the mix, famous pros like Eli Elezra regularly making an appearance, and the overall great atmosphere that always marks these events, the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival comes highly recommended!
