A come bet is made after a point has been established after the come out roll. To make a come bet, players place their bets in the area of the craps table marked “COME.”
According to craps rules, a come bet is won if the shooter (player rolling the dice) throws a 7 or 11. The bet loses if a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled by the shooter. If the shooter rolls numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then a point is established and the come bet is “on.”
Once a point is established, the shooter must roll the point number again before they roll a 7 or the bet is lost. The Come bet has an even payout, which means that the payout is the same as the bet. If you bet $10, you will receive $10.
Here is an example of a come bet:
- A player places a $5 come bet.
- The shooter throws a 6 on the come out roll which makes it the point.
- The shooter throws another 6 on their next roll.
- The come bet wins and a $5 payout occurs.
