Placing bets in blackjack is an important part of the game. New players always want to know, “When do you bet in blackjack?”. According to basic blackjack rules, bets are placed at the beginning of the game before the dealer deals cards to players. Each new set of bets is placed before the next round commences. If you split your hand, you will be required to make bets on the new hand which is equal to your original bet before the round started. After matching your bet, you will have to draw two new cards for each hand.
The only time you are able to make bets during a game is when you are making a side bet like the rummy bet. This is a bet on the outcome of your hand at the end of the round. So players should make all their best bets before dealing starts.
