PokerStars and Oracle Red Bull Racing Bring Poker & Formula 1 Together in Las Vegas

It’s been an epic month for PokerStars in Las Vegas, as the Red Spade could be seen at every step in preparation for the big return of Formula 1 to Sin City, which has been the focal point of the weekend for the entire city.

For a long time now, PokerStars has been partnered up with Oracle Red Bull Racing, one of the premiere Formula 1 organizations. That partnership has now come to its pinnacle, as PokerStars threw a slew of supporting events and the two truly brought the worlds of poker and Formula 1 together.

Poker fans who play at PokerStars were surely ecstatic to see PokerStars branding cover the wheels of ORBR’s RB19 car, putting the brand in front of millions of eyes around the world.

Those who actually had a chance to be in Las Vegas for the festivities got a chance to mingle with the drivers and other staff during a series of events at Resorts Las Vegas, while PokerStars ambassadors and staff took a road trip from California to Vegas driving supercars.

The exciting week of top-speed action culminated in the Grand Prix event, which was greatly anticipated by Formula 1 fans across the world and the entirety of Las Vegas, a true test of speed and endurance that will put Sin City back on the Formula 1 map.

PokerStars Featured on Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Car Wheels

Earlier in the week, Las Vegas’ popular Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace played host to a very special party during which Oracle Red Bull Racing revealed their RB19 racing car in a brand new light, and with all the branding designed especially for the Las Vegas race.

A part of the show was the presentation of the car’s wheels, which are covered by special PokerStars branded covering, clearly featuring the PokerStars name and the recognizable Red Spade logo.

The covering, which was created by ORBR fan Lindsay Palmer, was designed to represent a poker chip and looks extremely cool when put into action.

This special detail is one of the peak points of the PokerStars partnership with the Formula 1 organization, as it puts one of the most popular poker brands in front of a massive mainstream audience of one of the most popular sports in the world.

Speaking about the wheel covers and the culmination of the partnership, PokerStars Director of Partnerships & Public Relations Rebecca McAdam Willets said:

Special Events Highlight the Partnership

Out of all the partnership deals PokerStars has done over the years, the bond with Oracle Red Bull Racing has been one of the strongest and most actively promoted ones.

The two organizations worked together on a number of projects and promotions leading up to the race, and this last week has been all about the two brands in Las Vegas.

Following the successful return of the NAPT to the USA, PokerStars used the same venue at Resorts World Las Vegas to launch a few charity poker events in partnership with ORBR over the week, all of which were very successful enterprises.

To add to that, a special PokerStars x Oracle Red Bull Racing VIP Invitational Freeroll was played on Thursday, while the pros and PokerStars announcers and staff had a chance to play with the Formula 1 superstars at the cash game tables as well.

Perhaps the most exciting event for those who got to be a part of it was the Gran Tauro USA, a road trip from LA to Las Vegas which game the likes of James Hartigan, Joe Stapleton, Andre Akkari, Maria Ho, and others a chance to drive down to Sin City in high-speed fashion, driving some of the most powerful cars in the world.

All of this lead us to this weekend, when the best and the fastest in the world had a chance to race for Las Vegas’ first F1 Grand Prix since 1982.

PokerStars staff, players, and fans alike got a chance to watch all the action live with their favorite logo clearly displayed for everyone to see.
